Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan

Thank you to Cocoa Brown for sending me the 1 Hour Tan to try ..

Anyone who has read my previous blogs will know I suffer from dry skin and get psoriasis and eczema break outs. Trying to use fake tan with these conditions can be an absolute nightmare, fake tans tend to stick to the dry patches which just makes them stand out even more and then I end up with white patches where the tan does not stick to the areas of eczema/psoriaisis.

I was so excited to try Cocoa brown because the founder of this company 'Marissa Carter' also suffers from these skin conditions and has kept that in mind with the ingredients in these products (Vegetable derived DHA and no parabens).

My skin has been clearing up due to a new eating plan I have been following (Blog on this coming soon) but my hands and wrists had a slight break out over the weekend. I wanted to try the tan when my skin was slightly inflamed so I could see how it reacted to it and so I could test it to let others know.

Before I applied the tan I had exfoliated and been moisturising using pure cocoa butter to get rid of any dry patches. This needs to be completely washed off before applying tan but to be honest I kept some on my hands and elbows as they were dryer than the rest of my body.

The tan is a mouse and is slightly coloured so you can see where you are applying it. I used the #cocoabrown tan mit to apply the mouse all over my body, applying it to my hands last with the tan that was already on the mit.

The tan smells so fresh compared to most tans by the way and dried in like 2 seconds after I applied , weh heyyyy!!

It was then just time to wait on the tan developing, I can't lie, I was terrified inside as my skin and fake tan don't get along too well.

So for a normal glowing tan you leave on for 1 Hour, for a medium tan 2 Hours and for a darker tan 3 Hours. I had mine on for about 2 hours which gave me a lovely colour.

Results

* It did not stick to the rash on my wrists the way other fake tans have. It still coloured the areas and did not clog them up and make them more noticible, this is my biggest pet hate with most tans so I was really happy with this.

* The tan faded really well, it didn't go patchy and my eczema patches faded normal instead of fading before the rest of my body and being covered in white patches. RESULT =D

* The colour was not orangey at all , a nice golden colour

* I did smell a little bit of the fake tan smell the next day but it was definitely not as strong as other fake tans I have used

* It didn't irritate my sensitive skin =)

* It didn't cover red patches but certainly did not stick to them or make them worse

I will definitely be using this tan again and cannot wait to try out the other products by Cocoa Brown.

I would reccommend people who suffer from dry skin, eczema and psoriasis to try this tan if you are having the same problems I have with fake tans, try a patch test to see how your skin reacts to it before using it all over your body.

I would also recommend this product to everyone! If it works so well on dry skin I imagine it works beautifully on good skin.

You can buy the 1 Hour Tan Mouse HERE and its ONLY £7.99!!!

Happy Tanning !!
